Top Prices at the Wolden Summer Sale

18 horses and foals were sold in the Wolden Summer Sale for an amount of € 612.250.

Saturday evening 18 jumpers and jumping bred foals were sold at the Summer Sale auction. There were good prices for the foals and horses. The 8 foals were sold for an average price of € 9.000 and the total sale results were € 72.250. The 10 jumpers were sold for a total amount of € 540.000 and the average price was € 54.000 per horse.

The prices of the foals were between the €5.000 and € 12.000. The 2 most expensive foals were Feline HBC, a filly by Cantos out of a mare by Undercover bred by the HBC Stables and Fotogravin, a daughter of Cardento from an Acobat II mother bred by mr. Jacob Melissen. Both foals were sold for € 12.000.

The prices of the jumpers were between the € 24.000 and € 100.000 price range. The most expensive was the 5 years old Amethist D, a gelding by Lupicor who comes from the stables of Jan Broek, Amethist D is sold to Syria.

Next to the Dutch clients there was also lot of international interest for the horses at the Wolden Summer Sale, there are horses and foals sold to Syria, Switzerland, Turkey, Mexico and of course the Netherlands.

The organizers (Jan Broek, HBC Stal and VDL Stud) were very satisfied with the result of this 4th edition of the Wolden Summer Sale.

Me and organizers Wiepke van de Lageweg and Jan Schep already agreed to offer an excellent group of horses again in the Wolden Summer Sale 2011'.
