Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (by Corland) wins CSI4 * GP in Mexico

BALVANERA (MEX) - Hortensia van de Leeuwerk (by Corland) has won the CSI4 * Grand Prix over 1.55m in Balvanera, Mexico under rider Manuel Gonzalez Dufrane. Hortensia van de Leeuwerk was sold to Mexico via the VDL Stud.

Last year Hortensia van de Leeuwerk was also very successful, in December she won the 1.55m Grand Prix of the Querétaro National Jumping Championship and in October the Grand Prix in Coapexpan. The mare also claimed the victory earlier in 2019 with the Mexican team during the country competition in Wellington.

In the CSI4 * 1.50m there was a second place for Golden Diamonds W.G. (by Zirocco Blue) and Nicolas Pizarro.

The CSI4 * Grand Prix over 1.35 yielded a third ranking for History-Rilexy (by Arezzo VDL) and Pablo Escudero Morales and an eighth place for Cardenta Z (by Cardento) with rider Luciana Roberta Gonzalez Guerra. In two other CSI4 * 1.35m competitions in Balvanera, the mare claimed the victory and the combination once finished third. History-Rilexy (by Arezzo VDL) finished eighth in this last 1.35m race.

There were also good results for Kentucky van 't Laerhof (by Quasimodo van de Molendreef) with Alejandro Kenneth Gottlieb Boda. They became second in the CSI4 * 1.40m. Ehrens (by Cardento) and Luciana Roberta Gonzalez Guerra were eighth in this competition.
