During the international competition in Herning, Hessel Hoekstra achieved a magnificent victory with Mindset in the 3* Grand Prix. In a highly competitive class, the combination jumped convincingly to victory, once again underlining Mindset's quality at international level.Second place in the Grand Prix went to W. Winkeler's breeding product Gangster WW (by Grand Slam). Together with Luke Dee, the Grand Slam son also managed to finish in third place in the 1.45m class.
Our stallion Stargos, also a breeding product of W. Winkeler, finished in fifth place in the same 1.45m class. Together with Hessel Hoekstra, they managed to complete clear rounds throughout the entire weekend.
There were also strong results for VDL offspring in the other classes in Herning. In the CSI3 Medium Tour LR Final (1.45m)*, Hoekstra rode Comthago (by Comme Il Faut), bred by Wilhelm Kochs, to an impressive fourth place.
There was also success in the U25 Tour (1.40m). German rider Tomma Thiesen rode Bert 74 (by Brantzau), bred by Jens Ritters, to victory. The combination remained clear and recorded a time of 54.07 seconds, convincingly leaving the field behind.
With a victory and several top placings, the competition in Herning was once again a successful weekend for riders and horses of VDL stallions and offspring.
