Strong VDL-results at Gorla Minore and Oliva

Last weekend, several VDL offspring made a name for themselves at international competitions in Gorla Minore and Oliva.

In Gorla Minore on 15 March, the 1* Small Tour (1.35m) was convincingly won by Tullogher Lady Liberty (by Indoctro), ridden by Marta Elander Wisten. The pair recorded a clear round in 55.66 seconds. The Indoctro daughter was bred by Rita Walsh McIntyre.

In Oliva, Zirocco Cruise, a son of Zirocco Blue, claimed victory in the Bronze 3 class (1.30m) on 15 March. Under the saddle of Lucy Hardy, the pair remained clear in 60.65 seconds. The breeder of this horse is Joe Cadam.

A day earlier, on 14 March, there was further success for the VDL stallion line. In the class for 8-year-olds (1.35m), victory went to Ben S, a son of Brantzau VDL, ridden by Philipp Züger. The pair remained double clear and clocked 33.80 seconds in the jump-off. The Brantzau son was bred by Josef Schmid.

In the Small Tour (1.35m, two phases), there was also a second VDL victory thanks to Marieke VDL (by Brantzau), ridden by Niklas Arvidsson. They recorded a clear round in 25.06 seconds. The mare was bred by VDL Stud. Second place in this class also went to a Zirocco Blue VDL offspring: CSF Thomascourt Zena, ridden by Alexander McLean and bred by Patrick Connolly.

With these results, both Zirocco Blue and Brantzau and Indoctro once again underline their value as sires at international level.
